Deacon Nick Donnelly is possibly best known (at least on the internet) for his Website where he robustly defends the Faith and the Holy Father.
This booklet has been written for the year of Faith, starting in October, and its sub-title Ways to live the year of Faith, gives a fair clue to its purpose.
It starts with an introductory chapter presenting a personal apologia for Faith itself; then it offers 12 chapters each with 12 suggestions (one a month) for the Year of Faith.
Thus the first of these is 12 Films you really must see: it includes such classics as The Song of Bernadette, more recent films such as The Passion of the Christ, and some less well-known ones, such as The Miracle Makers. For each recommendation, there is a paragraph of introduction and explanation. The idea being, of course, that you can choose a film a month thoughout the year, to keep you focussed on the Year of Faith.
And not just a film a month: remember the other 11 chapters. These follow the same pattern, and comprise:

12 prayers
12 modern Catholics and modern saints
12 paragraphs of the Catechism
12 steps to make a simple Rule of Life
12 blogs
12 websites
12 scientists
12 works of art
12 devotions
12 things you could try.
This is a fantastic idea, and is really well executed. As with the 12 films, each chapter contains some that you might expect (Fr Finigan's blog, for example) and some that might be new to you (such as Stuart James' somewhat eclectic eChurch blog).
If you are looking for inspiration to do something different for the Year of Faith, this could well be the book for you. And if you are not, perhaps you should be!
