This is a large format (A4) children's book, with a hardcover. The text is almost entirely the address that the Holy Father made at the Big Assembly at the start of his visit to England. In it he challenges his young listeners to Be Saints, and explains why that is the only path to happiness.
As with so much of his writing it is both simple and profound. His speech is spread over the 23 pages of the book, with appropriate quotations from saints and beati interspersed, and with large, contemporary illustrations in full colour on every page.
This would make a particularly lovely present for any child who was at the Big Assembly; but also for any child who wished that he or she could have been there. It is not a story book that will be read and re-read on a regular basis, but a book for taking off the shelves once or twice a year and reading in a reflective and meditative way.
